A look at the profile of Olivares Luciano, the new director of the COE

President Luis Abinader has appointed Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano as the new director of the Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) through Decree 551-26, issued on Sunday, August 16. He succeeds Juan Manuel Méndez García, who is transitioning to a new leadership role.

Olivares Luciano brings extensive institutional experience to the position, having served for 26 years as the head of operations and 16 years as the national subdirector of the COE. His appointment marks a significant leadership transition within the organization after Méndez García's long tenure.
