A look at the profile of Olivares Luciano, the new director of the COE

President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic has appointed Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano as the new director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE). The appointment was officially made through Decree 551-26 on Sunday, August 16, replacing the outgoing director, Juan Manuel Méndez García, who is moving on to a new leadership role.

Olivares Luciano brings extensive institutional experience to his new position. Before his appointment as director, he served within the same organization for 26 years as the head of Operations and spent 16 years as the national deputy director.
