Unilever Nigeria raises interim dividend fourfold amid slight increase in half-year profit

Unilever Nigeria has increased its interim dividend fourfold for the half-year period, allocating as much as N11.5 billion to equity investors. The payout represents 73.7 per cent of the company's post-tax profit for the accounting period.

The substantial rise in shareholder returns comes despite a modest financial performance. According to the company's reports, the post-tax profit grew by only a single digit during the same half-year timeframe.
