Upper Karnali project set to advance after years of funding delays

The Investment Board Nepal has decided to facilitate the construction of the 900-megawatt Upper Karnali hydroelectric project, setting the stage for the initiative to finally move forward.

This decision follows years of prolonged uncertainty regarding financial closure, repeated deadline extensions, and various court challenges that had stalled the major infrastructure undertaking.
