Urbagestión proposes to the City Council that Maricarmen's apartment be included in a municipal program so that she can return.

The Madrid City Council has rejected a proposal from Urbagestión Desarrollo e Inversión SL to allow 87-year-old Maricarmen Abascal to return to the apartment from which she was evicted two days prior. The company had suggested incorporating the property, located on Calle Alcalde Sainz de Baranda, into the municipal ReViVa housing program to facilitate her return.

The municipal government deemed the proposal unviable, stating that the suggested formula did not meet the necessary requirements for the program. The situation has drawn attention from local advocacy groups, including the Sindicato de Inquilinas e Inquilinos de Madrid, following the eviction of the octogenarian, who had resided in the home for 71 years and is reported to have a 50 percent disability rating.
