US appeals court declines to block Pentagon's blacklisting of Anthropic

A D.C. appeals court has declined to block the Pentagon's blacklisting of artificial intelligence firm Anthropic. In a 2-1 ruling issued on Friday, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Trump administration, finding that the Department of Defense adequately supported its decision to label the company a national security risk.

The decision rejected Anthropic's legal challenge against the designation. The appeals court ruling upholds the Pentagon's blacklisting measures after determining the government's security concerns were sufficiently justified.
