US diplomats, family members start returning to Mideast embassies after Iran war evacuations

United States diplomats and their family members have begun returning to American embassies across the Middle East following earlier evacuations prompted by conflict involving Iran. Relatives of US government employees in Israel have specifically been given authorization to return to the country.

While the restrictions on travel to Israel have been lifted for families of government personnel, tighter security measures and restrictions remain in effect at other diplomatic missions throughout the wider region.
