According to reports citing three individuals familiar with the matter, US officials drafted a memo condemning the United Kingdom, France, and Canada for implementing trade bans and sanctions against Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The document, reportedly driven by a close aide to Mike Huckabee, claimed that the measures against Israeli settlements contributed to rising antisemitism.

However, the statement was never made public because senior leadership at the White House and the State Department did not support it, ultimately leading to the document being shelved or discarded.
