The average rate on a 30-year mortgage rose to 6.76% this week, Freddie Mac says, the highest level in over 14 months

The average rate on a benchmark 30-year fixed-rate mortgage in the United States rose to 6.76% this week, according to data released by mortgage buyer Freddie Mac. This increase marks the third consecutive week that home loan rates have climbed.

With this latest increase, the average long-term U.S. home loan rate has reached its highest level in over 14 months, moving up from the previous week's average of 6.71%.
