US Supreme Court lifts limits on third-country deportations

WASHINGTON, United States (AFP) — The United States (US) Supreme Court on Tuesday lifted restrictions until further notice on the deportation of undocumented immigrants to third countries. The high court granted a request from the Trump administration to suspend a lower court ruling that restricted a policy of deporting undocumented immigrants to countries that are not their own. In a brief statement, the court ruled that it will hear the case on its merits in December.
