Vacant for nearly 70 years, Holyoke building on High St. nears rebirth

HOLYOKE — The renovation of a long-vacant downtown Holyoke building is nearing completion as developers prepare to open eight income-restricted apartments along High Street later this summer.Urbanist Development announced on social media that work on the redevelopment of the Crafts Block at 141-147 High St. Crews are completing punch-list items, refinishing the building’s historic old-growth fir floors and bringing electrical and air conditioning systems online.
