Van driver to face trial over crash that killed woman and four ponies

James Graham, a van driver, is set to face trial following a road traffic collision on the A737 at Howwood that resulted in the deaths of a woman and a herd of four ponies.

According to prosecutors, the incident occurred while it was dark. The Crown alleges that Graham was driving at an excessive speed and failed to notice the animals ahead on the roadway prior to the fatal crash.
