From Hollywood to prison for a double homicide: the “Boyz n the Hood” actor was serving time and trying to redeem himself when he was killed

On September 6, 2005, guards at Pelican Bay State Prison in northwestern California discovered the body of actor Lloyd Avery II, known for his role in "Boyz n the Hood," lying on a satanic pentagram drawn with his own blood. At the time of his death, Avery was serving a prison sentence for a double homicide and was reportedly attempting to redeem himself.

In a separate and unrelated legal proceeding in Salta, Argentina, a local woman was sentenced to four years of effective imprisonment for drug possession with intent to commercialize. Her sentence was finalized following a plea agreement homologated during a preventive detention review hearing, after authorities caught her selling drugs through her home window.
