Venice Film Festival opens with Danny Boyle's Murdoch film and an award for Clooney

The Venice Film Festival has officially opened with the premiere of Danny Boyle's film about media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Alongside the opening screening, actor George Clooney is being honored at the festival with a lifetime achievement award. Despite the retrospective nature of the honor, Clooney focused his remarks on the present rather than dwelling strictly on memories and nostalgia.
