Two distinct seismic events were recorded in Mexico on Sunday. A magnitude 4.0 earthquake occurred in Sayula de Alemán, Veracruz, at 10:22 hours, with an epicenter located 67 km southeast of the city at a depth of 140.2 km. Separately, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was recorded near Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, at 12:32 hours, centered 173 km southwest of the city at a depth of 10.0 km.
