Veteran Haredi MK Moshe Gafni to be removed as leader of UTJ’s Degel HaTorah faction

Veteran Haredi Member of Knesset Moshe Gafni is set to be removed as the leader of the United Torah Judaism (UTJ) party's Degel HaTorah faction. According to party confirmation, Gafni and fellow MK Uri Maklev will not run in the upcoming October 27 election.

The decision to change leadership follows a directive from the party's rabbinical leadership, who stated that it is time to 'refresh' the candidate list.
