Victorian Coalition pledges more select-entry high schools if elected

The Victorian Coalition has pledged to establish more select-entry high schools if it wins government. Opposition Leader Jess Wilson announced the policy in response to what the opposition describes as a growing demand for academic achiever colleges across the state.

Currently, Victoria operates four fully selective secondary schools. The proposed expansion aims to provide additional academic pathways for students through these specialised institutions.
