Violent Arizona storms bring possible tornado, toppled trees and golf ball-size hail

A series of violent storms moved through central Arizona overnight into Thursday, resulting in significant property damage. A possible tornado caused trees to fall onto homes and knocked down utility poles across the affected community.

In addition to the structural damage, the severe weather system produced golf ball-sized hail and high winds. Local authorities are currently assessing the impact of the storms, which occurred as the weather front tracked through the state.
