A volcanic eruption at Mount Anak Krakatoa in Indonesia began on Saturday, resulting in the closure of the country's main international airport in Jakarta and seven other regional facilities. The activity, which included the release of volcanic ash and lava, has significantly disrupted air travel across the western portion of the nation.
