Von der Leyen supports the Spanish people: "Ceuta is Spain" and "Europe is on your side"

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a statement of support for Spain on September 16 in Strasbourg. Addressing the recent migration crisis in Ceuta, she explicitly declared that the autonomous city is both Spanish and European territory, assuring the Spanish people that the European Union stands by them.
