Katharina Hartmuth (31) has finished third in the general classification of the Tor des Géants, marking the first time a woman has reached the podium in the history of the event.

Regarded as one of the hardest ultramarathons in the world, the race concluded when Hartmuth crossed the finish line on Wednesday morning as the fastest woman in the competition.
