Vox advocates denying visas to Moroccans until Rabat accepts the Spanish sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla

The political party Vox has formally demanded in the Spanish Congress that Spain deny foreign visas to Moroccan nationals. The measure would remain in place until the government of Rabat issues a public, explicit, and unequivocal declaration recognizing the Spanish sovereignty of Ceuta, Melilla, and other northern African territories.

The demand specifically encompasses territories such as the Chafarinas Islands, the Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera, and the Perejil islet. According to the party's proposal, this restriction on visas serves as a political lever to compel Morocco to officially acknowledge Spain's territorial integrity regarding its possessions in North Africa.
