A day after a shooting at an apartment building, police officers still had crime scene tape up outside the building on Monday in North Miami.A mother who asked not to be named said she was afraid. She was also concerned about the lack of information coming from the building’s management or police officers. The shooting was shortly after midnight on Sunday at Aliro, an apartment complex at 14040 Biscayne Boulevard, according to the North Miami Police Department.

A witness’s video showed two people jumping from a third-story window. One person wounded arrived at a nearby hospital, according to police. Hours later, North Miami police officers in a grassy area appeared to recover a handgun and placed it in evidence bags.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.Location .l10-neighborhood, .l10-neighborhood * { box-sizing: border-box; } .l10-neighborhood{ --blue-dark:#0d2c73; --blue:#1f57c4; --blue-light:#3370e6; --gray-bg:#f2f3f5; --gray-border:#d6d8dc; --text-dark:#1a1a1a; --white:#ffffff; font-family:system-ui,-apple-system,"Segoe UI",Roboto,Arial,sans-serif; max-width:860px; margin:1.5rem auto; border-radius:10px; overflow:hidden; border:1px solid var(--gray-border); background:var(--gray-bg); box-shadow:0 4px 14px rgba(0,0,0,.12); text-align:center; } .l10-head{ background:linear-gradient(90deg,var(--blue-dark),var(--blue)); color:var(--white); padding:12px 16px; font-weight:800; text-transform:uppercase; font-size:1rem; letter-spacing:.3px; display:flex; justify-content:center; align-items:center; gap:8px; } .l10-body{ max-width:740px; margin:0 auto; padding:0 16px 18px; } .l10-sub{ margin:12px 0 10px; font-size:.95rem; color:var(--text-dark); font-weight:500; text-align:center; } .l10-grid{ display:grid; grid-template-columns:1fr; gap:12px; } @media (min-width:600px){ .l10-grid{ grid-template-columns:repeat(3,1fr); } } .nb-btn{ display:grid; place-items:center; text-align:center; line-height:1; width:100%; min-height:48px; padding:10px; border-radius:8px; text-decoration:none; font-weight:800; text-transform:uppercase; font-size:.95rem; background:linear-gradient(180deg,var(--blue-light),var(--blue)); color:var(--white); box-shadow:0 2px 6px rgba(0,0,0,.15); transition:background .15s ease, transform .1s ease, box-shadow .15s ease; } .nb-btn:hover, .nb-b… One person was rushed to a hospital Monday after first responders received reports about an “electrocution” in northwest Miami-Dade, first responders confirmed to Local 10 News.According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials, the incident occurred in the 2900 block of Northwest 70th Terrace.Sky 10 was above the scene just after 12:15 p.m. as a ladder was leaning against a tree.
