Wexford GP found guilty of professional misconduct over posts on social media during Covid-19 pandemic

Dr Billy Ralph, a general practitioner from Wexford, has been found guilty of professional misconduct by a fitness to practise committee following a series of posts on social media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The posts in question were published on Twitter between October 2020 and June 2022.

During the proceedings, Dr Ralph denied that his social media activity had undermined the public health guidelines introduced to manage the pandemic. Recommendations regarding the sanctions he will face will be determined and announced at a later date.
