Why freshmen at one high school give their mothers a goodbye kiss on their first day

For the past 26 years at Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, incoming freshmen arriving for their first day of school have been met with a unique tradition staged by the senior class. The seniors surround the freshmen's vehicles and block their exit.
