Wife locked in bedroom and a missing caretaker: Ex-IAS officer’s murder gets murkier

Nishi Agrawal discovered her husband, former IAS officer Rakesh, murdered inside their home, with the couple's caretaker, Varun, currently identified as the prime suspect in the escalating investigation.

Upon making the grim discovery, Agrawal realized her bedroom door had been locked from the outside. She received immediate assistance from the household cook, Amar, to free herself and address the situation.

Investigators uncovered evidence of a potential gas leak at the scene, which authorities are examining as a possible motive or method connected to the homicide, making the circumstances surrounding the death increasingly complex.
