Wildfires destroy hundreds of buildings, displace tens of thousands in Washington state

A series of wildfires began over the weekend in Washington state and continue to burn in and around Spokane, the state's second most populous city.

The blazes have destroyed hundreds of buildings and displaced tens of thousands of people. Firefighters are currently deployed to combat the active fires in the region.
