NewzLaw enforcement officials in North Carolina on Monday announced a 17-year-old Winston-Salem girl was arrested and faces charges for her role in the deadly shooting at the San Diego Islamic Center earlier this year.Forsyth County District Attorney Jim ONeill said the Winston-Salem teen was arrested last week and indicted by a grand jury Monday on three counts of murder and one count of conspiracy in connection with the May 18, 2026, attack on the Clairemont mosque.According to ONeill, the teen was one of three people who were watching the livestream as the two suspects carried out the shooting. ONeill said the teen recorded the livestream and published the shooters manifesto.ONeill explained the decision to indict the teen for aiding and abetting: The law in North Carolina is clear a person may be guilty of a crime, although he or she personally does not do any of the acts necessary to constitute the crime. A person who aids and abets another to commit a crime is guilty of that crime.
