Woman jailed for more than seven years over 1.6kg Auckland Airport cocaine haul

A foreign national has been sentenced to seven years and four months in prison following the discovery of more than 1.6 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside her luggage at Auckland Airport.

The illicit drugs were intercepted by New Zealand Customs officials during the course of their border operations, leading to the prosecution and subsequent imprisonment of the traveler.
