CHICAGO — Authorities say one person is dead, and another is recovering in the hospital after two crashes, including a hit-and-run, along I-57 on Sunday evening. According to Illinois State Police troopers, the crashes unfolded just before 9 p.m. on Sunday, along the northbound lanes of I-57 at South Halstead Street in Washington Heights.
