Women’s empowerment key to achieving Tanzania’s 2050 Vision

Zanzibar Minister for Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Dr. Saada Salum Mkuya, recently stated that the Tanzania Development Vision 2050 serves as a critical framework for advancing gender equality within the nation. The initiative aims to enhance the empowerment of women across various sectors of society.

Central to this vision is the objective of increasing women's participation in leadership roles and high-level decision-making processes. By prioritizing these efforts, the government intends to utilize the 2050 development roadmap as a primary tool for achieving broader national progress and social inclusion.
