Worcester nonprofit gets grant to help people save for children’s education

The Worcester Community Action Council (WCAC), a social services organization in Worcester, has been given a $2,500 grant to help people enroll in the state’s children’s education savings program.The program is known as BabySteps and it gives enrolled families a $50 starter payment to help save for a child’s future education plans, such as going to a community college or a four-year college.
