Tun it Up Thursday is a live stream that happens on Riley’s social media platforms, TikTok and Twitch, and it focuses on Jamaican music including roots reggae, dub, lovers rock and dancehall. “What we pride ourselves on, is exposing new and emerging talent.
So, if you want your music to be showcased, this is the platform for you,” Riley told Observer Online on Tuesday. He added, “So this Thursday, we will be featuring Jr Stinga who happens to have a passion for reggae music from the past to current music. We will also be having a cameo performance by Yaksta.” The St Mary-born Yaksta, who is best known for the hits Roar, Ambition and Emotions with Nation Boss, recently released his sophomore album The Microphone Saved Me, to critical acclaim.
Riley, the son of the late music producer Winston Riley of Techniques Records, has been involved in music for more than two decades. Having made his mark at Fame FM, he later transitioned into music production and produced Charly Black’s RIAA gold-certified hit Gyal Yuh a Party Animal. The live stream starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 8:00 PM.
