DAR ES SALAAM: PREMIER League champions Young Africans said they have spent 15bn/- on players recruitment for the 2026/27 season in a bid to secure a sixth consecutive league title. The announcement was made by Yanga spokesperson Ali Kamwe while speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, where he said the investment was made possible through strong cooperation between the club’s leadership under President, Engineer Hersi Said and the club’s sponsor, Gharib Bilal (GSM). Kamwe said the new signings are aimed at improving the quality of the squad and making Yanga more competitive in both domestic and international competitions.
“This major investment in player recruitment is part of our plan to ensure the team remains strong and achieves its goal of winning more titles,” he said. Kamwe said the festival will be held at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on September 9 this year as part of preparations for the new competitive season.
He announced that ticket prices for the event will be 300,000/- for the Royal Ticket, 100,000/- for the VIP Ticket and 20,000/- for the ordinary seats. Kamwe said Yanga continue to strengthen its relationship with supporters and various stakeholders by organising events that provide them with opportunities to participate directly in the club’s development.
