Yemen vice president urges global action to restore state, secure Bab Al-Mandab

On Thursday, Yemen’s vice president addressed the United Nations General Assembly, calling for stronger international action to restore the country's state institutions and counter the Houthi militia.

During the address, the vice president warned that ongoing instability in Yemen poses a direct threat to regional security and disrupts global trade flowing through the strategic Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
