Zamfara first lady wins The Sun newspaper’s award

Hajiya Huriyya Lawal, the wife of the Zamfara State governor, has been named the recipient of The Sun newspaper's First Lady of the Year award for 2026. The recognition was officially announced by the management of the publishing company.

The Sun Publishing Limited, which oversees the award, is the publisher of several prominent media titles in Nigeria, including the Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun, Sporting Sun, and the online platform thesun.ng.
