Zelensky and Carney sign new agreements worth more than $1.2 billion for Ukraine's defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney signed new military agreements valued at over 2 billion dollars, equivalent to more than 1.240 billion euros, aimed at supporting Ukraine's defense.

The announcement was made on a Thursday, detailing that half of the substantial financial and military package is designated for specific defense needs as the conflict continues.

In a separate economic development reported during the same period, El Salvador's Central Reserve Bank announced that the country's net international reserves grew by 14.67 percent during the first eight months of 2026, reaching 5.14245 billion dollars compared to the close of 2025.
