Spain's Third Vice President and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Sara Aagesen, has initiated contact with the regional presidents of the Valencian Community and Catalonia, Juanfran Pérez Llorca and Salvador Illa. The communications took place in response to weather forecasts predicting heavy rainfall in those regions.

Aagesen has formally placed herself and her ministry at the disposal of the regional governments to coordinate efforts or provide support as necessary. This action serves as a precautionary measure to address potential risks associated with the anticipated severe weather events.
