The national government, led by President Abelardo de la Espriella, has begun modifying its representation across the higher councils of several state public universities through Decree 1310, issued on August 25. As part of this transition, the administration appointed new delegates to these academic institutions.

The appointment of Father Rodolfo Londoño de la Espriella has drawn immediate legal pushback, with a representative from the Pacto Histórico announcing plans to sue over the designation, alleging that the appointment constitutes nepotism.
