About 90 Americans unaccounted for after catastrophic floods hit Nepal and Tibet

Approximately 90 U.S. citizens remain unaccounted for following catastrophic flash floods that struck a border region between Nepal and China on Wednesday. The disaster has resulted in hundreds of fatalities across the affected area. U.S. officials confirmed the status of the missing individuals on Thursday.

The U.S. State Department has issued a statement noting that while many citizens are missing, they are not currently aware of any U.S. deaths. Reports indicate that at least three Americans have sustained injuries in the aftermath of the flooding.
