J7 report: Deadliest year in decades as antisemitism becomes ‘new normal’ in Western democracies

The J7, a task force representing major Jewish communities across seven countries, has released a report identifying 2025 as the deadliest year for Diaspora Jews in decades. The findings indicate that 20 individuals were murdered in antisemitic attacks throughout the year, while a total of 23,000 antisemitic incidents were recorded across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Australia, and Argentina.

The report characterizes this surge in violence and online abuse as the "new normal" within Western democracies. In response to these findings, the J7 has called upon governments in the affected nations to take immediate, decisive action to address the rising hostility and prevent further attacks against Jewish communities.
