Argentina confirmed the first cases of the BA.3.2 variant of COVID: what the authorities said about its risk

Argentina has detected its first three cases of the SARS-CoV-2 lineage BA.3.2, a COVID-19 variant currently under monitoring. The discovery was announced following the release of the National Epidemiological Bulletin for the 34th epidemiological week.

According to the official evaluation included in the bulletin, health authorities have determined that the newly identified variant does not currently represent an elevated risk.
