The Balearic Islands join in the expressions of solidarity, respect and condolences for the victims of the Colombian earthquake

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on Monday, resulting in significant casualties and property damage. While initial reports cited 111 fatalities, subsequent updates have placed the death toll at 132. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the impact across the affected regions.

In response to the disaster, the international community and regional entities have expressed formal condolences and support. The Dominican Republic, led by President Luis Abinader, has offered humanitarian assistance, while the Spanish Royal House and authorities in the Balearic Islands have held public displays of solidarity and respect for the victims.
