US police warn that Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses are a counterintelligence threat

Law enforcement and security agencies in the United States have issued warnings regarding Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, identifying them as a potential counterintelligence threat. Internal documents reveal concerns that the wearable technology could be utilized to covertly record police officers and facilities, as well as leak sensitive information regarding detention infrastructure.

Separately, in Dendermonde, Belgium, two construction workers discovered a hidden cache containing 49 gold bars and 4,000 gold coins valued at approximately 9 million euros (around 10 million US dollars). The treasure was found inside a safe while the workers were performing renovation tasks at a building that formerly operated as a brewery.
