The decision has sparked notable protests within the parliamentary chamber ahead of the vote.

During the proceedings, opposition lawmakers staged visible demonstrations against the center-right's stance. Specifically, deputies from the Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS) blindfolded themselves, while members of the Five Star Movement (M5S) held up their mobile phones in protest.
