Data centers in Mexico could multiply their electrical power demand by more than six times by 2031, according to a warning issued by Banamex. The projected surge is primarily driven by the rapid growth and integration of artificial intelligence technologies.

However, the realization of this massive infrastructure expansion remains contingent upon the capacity and reliability of Mexico's electrical grid to supply the necessary power.
