Christa Pike remains alive, was ‘snoring’ after two botched lethal injections

State corrections officials put out a statement late Wednesday, insisting they followed Tennessee’s 'execution protocol' but acknowledged it did not immediately kill Pike Christa Pike, who was supposed to the first woman executed by Tennessee in more than 200 years, is still alive after two botched doses during a lethal injection.
