Members of Parliament accumulate streaks of absences without any control

During the legislative session that concluded on July 26, members of the Chamber of Deputies in the Dominican Republic recorded numerous and consecutive absences from legislative sessions. Despite the existence of internal regulations governing attendance, these absences were frequently documented with formal excuses, resulting in a lack of oversight regarding the patterns of non-attendance.
