The Madrid City Council accuses the Government Delegation of "dereliction of duty" regarding the Sol encampment

The Madrid City Council has publicly criticized the central government's regional delegation, accusing it of "dereliction of duties" and a lack of action regarding a protest encampment in the Puerta del Sol. The tension arose after hundreds of participants in a housing rights demonstration set up overnight camp in the public square.

In response to the demonstration, municipal authorities expressed surprise and indignation over the handling of the situation. The City Council has formally demanded that the Government Delegation take immediate steps to restore normal conditions in the area as soon as possible.
