Esteban to Otegi: "We were fascists three years ago and now it turns out we have common values?"

Aitor Esteban, president of the EBB of the PNV, has publicly questioned the strategy and proposals of Arnaldo Otegi, secretary general of EH Bildu. The remarks come in response to Otegi's advocacy for broad government agreements and a shared horizon to counter a potential PP-Vox executive, as well as his call for alliances among different political forces.

Esteban expressed confusion regarding Bildu's tactical approach, noting that Otegi's proposals lack concrete details. Furthermore, Esteban highlighted fundamental differences between their political models, pointedly asking whether the PNV was previously labeled as "fascists" by their rivals just three years ago, only to now be viewed as sharing common values.
